The tree maintenance guys have finally arrived.

They were despatched from the local council to manage the street trees.
The process called pollarding.

They are going to trim only branches from the tree so it can grow again.

They chop branches every 3 to 4 years.

Next year our front garden and yard will get more sunshine!
